Park fest Saturday

Park fest Saturday

On March 9th, the Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race takes place, starting and finishing in Rådhusparken in Bodø. The long-distance race aims to be much more than just physical exertion and blueberry soup.

After the sweat has dried and the finish line is cleared, concerts take place on the outdoor stage, and food and drinks are served in the world's largest lavvo.

In close collaboration with Bodø2024, the organizers have brought in a handful of artists from Northern Norway to create genuine winter magic in the park. On stage are: Vidar Vang and Band, Ann-Iren Hansen, and DJ iDJa and Ramona Linnea.

Vidar Vang and Band

Vidar Vang is perhaps best known as a solo artist, but now he has assembled the band he debuted with in the early 2000s. The group from Bjerkvik released the double album "Vidar Vang and Band" in 2022, containing everything from raw rock to acoustic songs.

Ann-Iren Hansen

Award-winning songwriter Ann-Iren Hansen from Vesterålen released her fourth album in October 2023. Her musical universe places you on the outermost edge of an islet in strong northern winds, the sea is dark with deep depths, but fortunately, there is a suitable distance between the lifebuoys of light. She brings her regular guitarist, Aksel Bakke, to Rådhusparken in March.

DJ iDJa and Ramona Linnea

The Sámi artists iDJa and Ramona Linnea have collaborated on a unique project throughout 2023. With the album "Stories from Sápmie," they draw inspiration from the nature of Sápmi, Sámi mythology, and indigenous struggles. The songs range from ambient to house, pop, and drum & bass.
