Marcialonga Arctic Ski Race changes its name to Marcialonga Bodø, and becomes part of the Ski Classics Pro Tour.
Marcialonga Bodø will be an event out of the ordinary, boasting both urban surroundings and breathtaking nature as well as the pulsating urban life in the world's smallest metropolis.
In addition, the event steps up, and becomes part of the Ski Classics Pro Tour. This involves around 300 elite runners from all over Europe at the starting line, and that the race is broadcast live on television in 15 countries.
Please note! The race has been moved to Valnesfjord due to snow and weather conditions.
Updated info:
Compact event
The center of the event is in Rådhusparken in Bodø, which provides a unique opportunity to carry out a compact event. The runners can walk from the city's hotels to the start, and it is a short distance to the shower in the hotel room after the finish line. Another advantage is that there will be a real folk festival in the center after the finish line. We set up a large lavvo with catering in the middle of the park and we have a mobile stage where the afternoon and evening are filled with music and other cultural elements.
