Fan Zones

We welcome you to our Fan Zones in Bodømarka. This will be a Kollen Sunday and the creative madness we know from the Tour de France combined. Each Fan Zone has its unique character and caters to different target groups.

Fan Zone Høglia/Vanntårnet

This will be the gathering place for students from Nord University. Additionally, it will be exciting to see who wins the sprint competition Zipcar Carpool Sprint Prize.

Fan Zone Junkerfjellet

Junkerfjellet is the fantastic viewpoint. An extra element of excitement is also in play at the top: Who will win the Sparebanken Nord-Norge Climbing Prize?

Fan Zone Skarmoen/Skihytta

The ski cabin has an open café, and as usual, there will be the sale of coffee, waffles, juice, and the legendary oat punch. The ski cabin opens at 11:00.

Parking

There will be no parking along Soløyvannsveien or at the entrance to Bestemorstua.

Welcome to a spectacular ski marathon, with start and finish in Rådhusparken, right in the center of Bodø.

This will be a ski fest out of the ordinary, boasting both urban surroundings and overwhelming Nordic nature. The track is designed to be accessible to everyone – from the ordinary skiing enthusiast to the elite athlete. An elevation of 850 meters still ensures a tough, but fair competition.

Compact event

The centre of the race is in Rådhusparken in Bodø in Bodø Centre. This implies a unique opportunity to carry out a compact event. The participants can walk from the city´s hotels to the start, and accordingly it is a short walk back to the showers after completed race. We offer a large lavvo (traditional Sami tent) with catering in the middle of the park, and from the mobile stage we offer music and other cultural elements the entire afternoon and evening.

Sustainability

A compact arrangement is a good starting point for our focus on sustainability. This means that we do not need to facilitate polluting transport to and from the start and finish area. We also emphasize responsible waste management.

We want skiing in the future, and therefore emphasize environmentally conscious choices.
